Over 87,000 seats remain unfilled in Chhattisgarh Colleges

Raipur | Correspondent: Over 87,000 seats remain unfilled this year across various universities in Chhattisgarh.

In response to low enrollment, the admissions date was extended from July 31 to August 16.

Universities even reached out to students who hadn’t enrolled urging them to take advantage of the extended deadline.

Despite these efforts, many seats across different universities remained vacant.

The official data from Bastar to Sarguja Universities showed that out of the 2,23,536 available seats only 1,35,956 students took admission.

As a result, 87,850 seats remain vacant across other universities in the state.

Around 12,000 seats remain vacant in the Sarguja university.

Atal University of Bilaspur district has 17,580 seats unfilled.

Similarly, 16,000 seats are unoccupied at Ravishankar Shukla University.

No admissions were made for 9,000 seats in colleges affiliated with Bastar University.
