NDA unveils Bihar manifesto

Patna | Desk: Bihar's ruling alliance, the NDA, released its election manifesto, called the "Sankalp Patra," in Patna on Friday morning. Bihar Chief Minister and JDU chief Nitish Kumar, BJP National President and Union Minister JP Nadda, and other NDA allies 'HAM' leader Jitan Ram Manjhi and LJP (R) leader Chirag Paswan were present.

The issue of employment is believed to be a major deciding factor in this Bihar Assembly election. Tejashwi Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate of the opposing "Grand Alliance," has already promised to provide a government job to one member of every family in the state if elected to power.

In response, the NDA has promised to provide government jobs to 10 million people in its manifesto. Aimed at young voters, it also calls for establishing a "Mega Skill Center" in each district, where youth will be provided with necessary training.

The Extremely Backward Class (EBC) vote bank has always been crucial in Bihar politics. To woo the EBC community, the NDA has promised financial assistance of up to ₹10 lakh.

It also stated that a committee will be formed to review public-oriented projects for the EBC community.

To retain the women's vote, which has supported Nitish Kumar in several previous elections, the NDA has promised financial assistance of up to ₹2 lakh.

Taking the initiative to transform the 'Lakhpati Didi' scheme into 'Mission Crorepati', the alliance aims to bring 10 million women under this scheme.

In its manifesto, the NDA has clarified that its primary goals are the development of Bihar, employment generation, and empowerment of every community.
