3 siblings burnt to death in Sidhi
Children trapped, burned in house fire
Sidhi | Desk: On Saturday afternoon, a fierce fire suddenly broke out in a kaccha (mud) house in Kasihwa village, located within the jurisdiction of the Jamodi police station in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district. In this tragic accident, three innocent siblings trapped inside the house were burned to death. The deceased includes two sisters and one brother.
According to the police, this heart-wrenching incident occurred around 1:00 PM. The deceased have been identified as 1.5-year-old Riddhi, 6-year-old Sandhya, and their 3-year-old brother, Nagendra Saket. Jamodi Police Station In-charge, Divya Prakash Tripathi, stated that based on preliminary information, a short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
At the time of the accident, the children's mother had gone to a ration shop, while their father, Ramratan Saket, had gone to Sidhi city for daily wage work. To ensure the children's safety, the house had been locked from the outside. During this time, a fire sparked by a short circuit engulfed the entire mud house.
Since the house was constructed using mud and combustible materials, the fire spread so rapidly that the children did not get any opportunity to escape.
Nearby villagers immediately rushed to the scene and attempted to extinguish the fire, but they were unable to rescue the children in time. The villagers have also alleged that fire department vehicles arrived at the scene significantly late. The police have registered a case regarding this matter and have initiated further investigations.
