229 Cases of Adulterated Liquor Seized in Raipur
Raipur| Correspondent: In a major crackdown, the Excise Department in Raipur has seized 229 cases of suspected adulterated liquor from a local alcohol shop. Upon inspection, 22 of those cases were confirmed to contain adulterated liquor.
The operation was conducted through a joint raid by the District Excise Department and the State Flying Squad in the Lalpur area. The raid targeted a composite liquor shop based on a tip-off about illegal alcohol-related activities.
Neelu Singh, head of the State Flying Squad, stated that they had received credible information suggesting illegal operations were being carried out at the premises. Acting on this input, the teams coordinated a joint raid.
Ramkrishna Mishra, Deputy Commissioner of the District Excise Department, confirmed the seizure of the adulterated liquor and said that the investigation is ongoing.
Officials believe this case could be part of a larger illegal liquor network. They expect more links and individuals involved in the racket to be exposed soon. The main accused is currently absconding, but authorities are hopeful of making arrests in the near future.
