Ambikapur | Correspondent: Labor organizations have initiated a nationwide mobilization in response to the recent gazette notifications issued by the Central Government regarding the rules for the four new Labor Codes. In protest against this decision, employees and workers, under the banner of the Chhattisgarh Sales Promotion Employees Union (Ambikapur Unit), staged a spirited demonstration at the local Ghadi Chowk.

The irate protesters raised vociferous slogans against the Central Government and set fire to copies of the gazette notifications pertaining to the new labor laws. Characterizing these four Labor Codes as entirely anti-worker, the Union has strongly demanded their immediate withdrawal.

Union office-bearers allege that the implementation of these new rules will usher in a new era of worker exploitation in workplaces. The protesters argue that the introduction of a 'Fixed-Term Employment' system will render the jobs of even those employees who have been working on a permanent basis for years into positions of a temporary nature.

This development has not only plunged the future of the youth and the working class into a deep crisis but has also instilled a profound sense of insecurity within them.

The organization warned that, under the guise of these new laws, legal rights and social security benefits hard-won through years of struggle and sacrifice are being stripped away. They asserted that this constitutes a calculated move designed to ultimately push the working class toward a state of bonded labor.

This major protest demonstration was led and coordinated by Joint General Secretary Prakash Narayan Singh, Ambikapur Unit President Praveen Singh, and Secretary Raghunath Pradhan. Furthermore, standing steadfastly to amplify the voice of the workers, a large number of office-bearers and members including Vice President Vimal Sharma, Joint Secretaries Ajay Kumar Vivek, Dharmendra Kumar, Santosh Maharana, Shekhar Pushp, Chandrabhan Chauhan, Santosh Kumar, Rajni Das Mahant, Chandrahas Sharma, Sunidhi Shukla, Yogesh Mishra, Dhananjay Kumar, Amjad Khan, Shubham Shukla, Shiv Kumar Sahu, and Mrityunjay Kumar remained actively present throughout the event.
