BJYM protests outside Congress HQ in Raipur over AI summit row
Raipur | Correspondent: Chhattisgarh politics has heated up over the alleged behavior of Congress workers during the Global AI Summit held in New Delhi. On Saturday, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers staged a massive protest at the Congress headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan, in Raipur. Led by BJYM State President Rahul Tikriha, a large number of workers gathered at Bharat Mata Chowk and proceeded to protest. During the protest, the workers raised slogans against the Congress leadership and registered their protest.
In view of the protest, the police administration had heavily cordoned off Shankar Nagar Chowk and tried to stop the protesters by erecting barricades.
However, the situation became tense when enthusiastic workers tried to cross the barricades, leading to a scuffle and altercation between the police and the workers. When the police stopped them from proceeding further, many workers sat on the road and protested.
On this occasion, BJYM State President Rahul Tikriha launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, stating that attempts to tarnish the country's image on international platforms will not be tolerated.
He alleged that the actions of Congress members at the AI Summit in Delhi had insulted India and burned an effigy of Rahul Gandhi in protest.
Meanwhile, State Media In-Charge Vasu Sharma clarified that whenever the nation's honor is hurt, BJYM will take to the streets in a similar protest.
