Leaders raise concerns over labour policies
Korba | Correspondent: On the occasion of International Workers' Day on Friday, a pledge to safeguard the interests of workers was taken at the AITUC divisional office in Korba.
Dipesh Mishra inaugurated the event by hoisting the flag, following which he criticised the Central government's current policies.
He also alleged that the four new labor codes implemented by the government by repealing 44 old labor laws just aims of providing undue benefits to large corporate houses.
The AITUC leader has shown concern over the notification of 'Fixed term employment', stating this would virtually eliminate the prospects for permanent jobs in the future.
With National Monetization Pipeline preparations going on for handing over the governmental properties to private hands, a move that joint labor organizations will unitedly oppose.
