Three workers killed in Kozhikode roof collapse

Kozhikode | Desk: A major accident occurred on Monday in Valiyangadi, Kozhikode, where three workers were killed when the concrete roof of an old warehouse collapsed. The incident occurred on February 23, 2026. The deceased have been identified as Jabbar, Ashraf, and Bashir.

According to police sources, the accident occurred while the workers were resting between work.

Two other workers were also seriously injured after being hit by the debris.

Though the injured were immediately rushed to a nearby government hospital, three of the workers succumbed to their injuries.

Fire and rescue service officials said the old building was previously used as a passport office.
