Sick girl made to clean vomit at Chhattisgarh school

Bilaspur | Correspondent: In the Masturi block of Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district, a young girl suffering from fever was made to clean a chair she had soiled after suddenly vomiting at the Government Primary School in Beltukri. Instead of receiving medical assistance, she was forced to clean up the mess an incident captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

Upon the video surfacing, Bilaspur Collector Sanjay Agrawal took the matter seriously and immediately directed the Education Department to take strict action. Following the Collector's firm stance, the District Education Officer (DEO) swung into action and issued a show-cause notice to Bharti Khande, the Headmistress of the primary school.

The DEO has asked the Headmistress to submit a clear and factual report regarding the entire incident within three days.

The administration has clarified that if the Headmistress's response within the stipulated timeframe is found to be unsatisfactory or in violation of rules, strict administrative action will be taken against her. There is widespread outrage among locals and parents regarding this insensitive treatment of the sick student.
