Fire services used for official’s pet sparks anger

Narayanpur | Correspondent: A recent viral video from Narayanpur showed how government resources were misused for a pet. 

Amidst the scorching heat and severe water crisis, thousands of liters of water were used in the name of rescuing a parrot, which was apparently the pet of a senior official.

The complete incident took place near the OBC Boys' hostel. 

According to the official information, a parrot was sitting in a tree in front of the hostel premises, and efforts were being made to bring her down the branch. 

However, the staff failed, following which the administration deployed the fire brigade team. The team then used the liters of water. 

There is widespread outrage among the residents and netizens over the fact that while the fire brigade is meant to be deployed for emergencies such as fire mishaps, government machinery was instead mobilized for the sake of an influential individual's pet bird. 

The identity of the official has not been disclosed yet. However, the video has caused a stir within administrative circles, and people are now demanding action against those responsible for this act of negligence.
