Raipur | Correspondent: Chhattisgarh is likely to experience predominantly dry weather over the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Minimum temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged for the next two days before dropping by 1–2 degrees Celsius thereafter. The state may, however, receive very light to light rainfall at isolated places on Wednesday.

In the state capital, Raipur, skies are expected to remain clear on Tuesday. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33°C, while the minimum is expected to be around 24°C.

According to weather observations recorded over the past 24 hours, Ambikapur registered the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 16.5°C. Meanwhile, Raipur recorded a maximum temperature of 34°C and a minimum of 24.3°C, with both readings remaining above their respective seasonal averages.

The IMD has forecast very light to light rainfall at one or two places across Chhattisgarh on Wednesday. No weather warning has been issued in connection with the forecast. Dry conditions are expected to prevail over the following two days, with no significant change in minimum temperatures initially.

According to the IMD's October 19 weather data, Raipur recorded a maximum temperature of 34°C. The same maximum was reported in Raigarh and Sakti. Among the locations listed in the report, Kabirdham recorded the lowest maximum temperature at 30.4°C.

With daytime temperatures remaining relatively high and minimum temperatures expected to decline gradually later in the week, residents may experience warm afternoons and comparatively cooler mornings in the coming days.
