Amitabh Bachchan name found on Jhansi voter list, probe ordered
BigB listed as Jhansi voter
Mumbai | Desk: A shocking incident has come to light during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process of voter lists in various states across the country. Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's name has reportedly been found on the voter list in Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh. What's more surprising is that his late father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, is also included in this list.
During the SIR work, it was discovered that Amitabh and Harivansh Rai Bachchan's names are included in the 2003 voter list. According to the list, they are listed as residents of the area adjacent to Orchha Gate in Jhansi, with house number 54.
However, the actor is often seen casting his vote in Mumbai's Juhu area.
According to local residents, they have never seen Big B in that area. Furthermore, the names of another father-son duo are also reportedly listed on the voter list at house number 54.
House number 54 listed on the voter list currently doesn't exist, but instead, a temple is located there. This situation has raised many questions among local residents.
Following this incident, the district administration has ordered an investigation into the matter. It remains to be seen how such a prominent actor's name was registered at an address where he doesn't even reside.
