Chhattisgarh government controlled from Delhi: Sachin Pilot

Raipur | Correspondent: State Congress in-charge Sachin Pilot, during the conclusion of the Nyay Yatra, criticized the law-and-order situation in Chhattisgarh, calling it “pathetic.”

He said that the BJP-led government has lost its credibility in just nine months and is ignoring the increasing crimes against women.

Pilot explained that the Nyay Yatra was organized to highlight the poor condition of governance in the state.

He accused the government of trying to silence Congress by using central agencies against them and warned that if the BJP continues to ignore the needs of the poor, Congress would intensify its political fight.

He also emphasized that in Congress, all leaders are equal, and if challenges arise, they will stand united.

“Chhattisgarh heading towards becoming the next Manipur” – Baij

State Congress President Deepak Baij stated that the Nyay Yatra aimed to expose the BJP government’s failures.

He pointed to several violent incidents, including three murders in the home minister’s area, as signs of the worsening law and order situation.

Baij also accused the government of conducting fake encounters and oppressing tribal communities.

He further alleged that criminal activities have become common since the BJP came to power, including attacks on the offices of senior officials like the SP and Collector.

Baij warned that Chhattisgarh is heading towards a crisis similar to what Manipur is facing.

He challenged the BJP to present their record on law and order over the last nine months, comparing it to Congress’ five-year governance.

Baghel criticizes custodial death

Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel condemned the current administration for its lawlessness, highlighting the death of a youth in police custody in the home minister’s constituency.

He said no part of the state, whether rural or urban, has been spared from crime, citing incidents of shootings, stabbings, murders, and robberies.

Baghel also raised concerns about the safety of women and girls across the state.

Nyay Yatra concludes

The Nyay Yatra, which started on September 27 from Girodpuri, ended in Raipur on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.

The 125-kilometer march saw participation from several Congress leaders, including Deepak Baij, Bhupesh Baghel, former Deputy CM T.S. Singhdeo, and former Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, who joined the closing ceremony.
