MSP for paddy raises by rs 117 per quintal

New Delhi | Desk: The Central government has hiked the minimum support price (MSP) for paddy by Rs. 117, raising it to Rs 2,300 per quintal for farmers across the country.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwani Vaishnav recently announced to raise the MSP for 14 Kharif crops.

The new support price of cotton is now set at Rs 7,121 with another variety priced at Rs 7,521 reflecting an increase of Rs 501.

Additionally, MSP for maize and pulses has been approved for an increase.

The support price for the tur daal has been raised by rs 550 per quintal, bringing it to Rs 7550 per quintal.

The MSP for urad dal has increased by Rs 450 per quintal, making it to Rs 7400 per quintal.

Furthermore, the MSP for the maize has been raised by rs 135 per quintal, while MSP for moong has been increased by rs 124 per quintal.

Vaishnav also mentioned about the plans of constructing of two lakh new warehouses across the country to enhance the agricultural storage capacity.
