SC refuses cancellation of NEET re-examination

New Delhi | Desk: Supreme Court refused the cancellation of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) – Under Graduate 2024.

The court emphasized that cancelling the exam would lead to severe repercussions, impacting around 24 lakh students and the medical admission process nationwide, thereby impacting medical education and potentially reducing the future number of doctors.

The court noted, would particularly disadvantage participants from marginalized communities.

Additionally, the Supreme Court pointed out that the available data does not indicate any systematic leakage of the NEET-UG 2024 question paper, further supporting their decision to allow the examination to proceed as planned.
