Rising Heat Returns to Chhattisgarh as Rainfall Pauses

Raipur | Correspondent: With a pause in rainfall across Chhattisgarh, daytime temperatures have begun to rise, bringing back the discomfort of heat. According to the Meteorological Department, dry weather is expected to persist today (Sunday) and tomorrow (Monday), though sporadic showers may occur in some areas.

The weather systems that were responsible for rain in the state and surrounding regions have dissipated. With a reduced inflow of moisture from the sea, rain activities are expected to diminish further.

No significant rainfall is predicted for the next two days, with dry weather likely to prevail across the state. Although the monsoon remains active, only light rain is expected in isolated areas. The systems that caused rain in Chhattisgarh have weakened, and the moisture supply from the sea has decreased, curbing the chances of widespread rain.

Most parts of the state will experience dry weather tomorrow, a trend that began on Friday. Prior to this, the state saw good rainfall. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall recorded was 70 mm in Chandon, Balrampur district.

Meteorologists have indicated that there is no forecast of heavy rainfall for the next two to three days.

This suggests that this year’s total seasonal rainfall is likely to remain near current levels. With the decline in monsoon activity, daytime temperatures have started to climb once again.
