The ceremony followed Saini’s election as the leader of the Haryana Legislative Party on October 16, a decision announced by Home Minister Amit Shah, who had been appointed the party’s observer for Haryana. Shah himself made the formal announcement of Saini’s selection as Chief Minister, reflecting his influence in the decision-making process.
