Israel Claims to Have Killed Hezbollah Leader Hassan Nasrallah

New Delhi | Desk: The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have announced the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

In a post on the social media platform X, the IDF declared, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

The Israeli Foreign Ministry also confirmed his death, stating in a separate post, “The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, along with one of Hezbollah’s founding members, yesterday. Southern Front commander Ali Karki, as well as several other top commanders, were also eliminated. Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.”

IDF Chief Herzl Halevi said, following the announcement of the death of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, “Whoever threatens the State of Israel, we’ll know how to get to him: in the north, in the south and in more distant places.”

“This is not the last of the toolbox, there are more tools to go,” he said.

Halevi said that the attack that killed Nasrallah was planned for a long time and “came at the right time in a very sharp way.”

The IDF added that the attack on Hezbollah’s headquarters occurred as the organization’s top brass “were coordinating terrorist activities against the citizens of the State of Israel.”

Nasrallah, a prominent Shia cleric, has led Hezbollah, a powerful political and military group based in Lebanon, for many years. He has largely avoided public appearances in recent times, fearing an Israeli assassination.

Nasrallah was closely aligned with Iran and played a pivotal role in building Hezbollah’s political and military strength.

Following the announcement of death of Nasrallah, IDF Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi released a video message, stating, “The message is clear: those who threaten Israeli citizens will be found.” The video was shared across IDF’s social media platforms shortly after the announcement of Nasrallah’s death.
