Diarrhoea-Malaria surges in Bilaspur
Bilaspur | Correspondent: Approximately 733 patients, including women and small children, have been diagnosed with diarrhea in Bilaspur district.
In the nearby forest area regions, including Kota, Tenganmada, and Belgehna, 89 patients have recently been diagnosed with malaria.
The district has been declared a sensitive zone for diarrhea and malaria for the past 15 days. Areas such as Kenda, Shivtarai, Belgahna, Chapora, and Fulwaripara are severely affected, with malaria spreading rapidly.
Health officials are increasing bed capacity in the district hospital and health centers to accommodate the surge in patients, according to health officials.
Doctors and nurses who visited the remote affected areas have also begun experiencing health issues.
Contaminated water has been identified as the primary problem, leading authorities to inspect and repair pipelines to ensure a clean water supply.
