Air Pollution soar in Raipur
Raipur | Correspondent: Air pollution in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, continues to rise. Reently, on Friday night and Saturday evening, PM 2.5 levels in several areas of Raipur were recorded as high as 317.
PM 10 levels also remained above 154 during the same period.
These figures were measured by pollution monitoring devices in the Silatra and Bhatagaon areas of Raipur.
PM 2.5 refers to particles with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller, while PM 10 refers to particles up to 10 micrometers.
Both types of particles are linked to serious health issues.
Pollution levels were also high earlier last week.
From November 1 to November 6, 2024, the PM 2.5 levels at the Bhatagaon New Bus Stand ranged from 144 to a peak of 500, with recorded values of 448, 186, 226, 144, and 195 on consecutive days.
