32 suspected maoists encountered in Chhattisgarh
Dantewada | Correspondent: Police officials have claimed that 32 suspected Maoists have been killed in an encounter that took place on the border of Naxal-hit Dantewada – Narayanpur in Chhattisgarh.
Authorities have also stated that a significant cache of weapons have been recovered from the scene.
The police have indicated the rise in the Maoist fatalities as the search operation is ongoing.
State Chief Minister Vishnu deo Sai has called this as a major success, emphasizing eliminating of Maoists remains the key objective.
He further stated, “Our fight against Naxalism will continue until we achieve our goal. Our double-engine government is committed to this mission.”
According to a police officer, after an intelligence regarding the Maoist presence in the Abujhmad of Narayanpur.
The encounter took place around 1 pm on Friday leading to recovery of 32 Maoist bodies, the police have also seized various weapons, including AK-47s and SLRs.
